6–25 mm Heavy-Gauge Hot-Rolled Coil Cutting

How RUIJI developed in-house cut-to-length equipment for thick hot-rolled coils and difficult material conditions.

Heavy-gauge coil processing requires more than nominal machine capacity. Feeding stability, leveling force, cutting control, and the actual coil shape all affect whether a job can be completed safely and consistently.

The challenge

Conventional equipment often struggles when hot-rolled coil becomes thicker, wider, harder, deformed, or loosely wound. RUIJI developed and refined its own equipment to process hot-rolled coil in the 6–25 mm range.

Engineering approach

  • Evaluate coil weight, thickness, width, hardness, and shape before loading.
  • Control decoiling and feeding to reduce instability.
  • Use leveling force appropriate for heavy-gauge material.
  • Verify finished length, diagonal accuracy, flatness, and stacking condition.

Why it matters

The equipment expands practical options for customers with thick or non-standard coils that may not fit routine service-center workflows. Every job is still reviewed individually because actual material condition determines feasibility.
